At St. Thomas, we serve God by serving others.  Members, including our youth, and friends give generously of their time and resources to support a host of programs that provide for the hopes and hurts of others. These include but are not limited to:

  • Interfaith Ministries Refugee Resettlement - St. Thomas collects and distributes an abundance of furniture and household supplies in order to set up many refugee families in apartments in Houston.  Korean Church - This congregation uses our facilities and joins our members in fellowship as they seek to further the global Church here in Houston.
  • Memorial Assistance Ministries - Our resources and volunteers help this organization give financial assistance, food and school clothing to local families in need.
  • Mission Trips - In the summer, youth and adults have traveled to Mexico to build churches and community buildings, to Washington, D.C. for work with the urban homeless, and to Birmingham, Alabama.
  • Outreach Commitments - Financial contributions are given to the Presbytery of the New Covenant, Mo-Ranch, Camp Cho-Yeh, Young Life, Palmer Drug Abuse Program, Westside Homeless Partnership and to summer mission work projects in Mexico and the U.S.
  • Rebuilding Houston Together - We refurbish the exteriors of two inner city homes, one in the spring and one in the fall.
  • St. Thomas Food Pantry - We give emergency food assistance to the needy in our neighborhood from our food pantry, stocked by our congregation.
  • Special Offerings  - One Great Hour of Sharing and CROP for world hunger; Joy Gift to aid retired pastors.
  • Turning Point Mission - One Saturday each month, we supply and serve food to homeless senior citizens
  • 5th Ward Pregnancy Center - This facility is the first of its kind in the 5th Ward, HoustonSt. Thomas supplies funds, supplies and prayers to help launch this much needed mission for women.
  • West Houston Community Center - Seeded by the efforts and funds of St. Thomas, this community building serves thousands of people each year.  The programs it houses include Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.), Palmer Drug Abuse Program (PDAP), Young Life and Boy Scouts.

PDAP: Mon. 4:00-10:00 pm; Wed.4:00-10:00 pm; Fri. 4:00-10:00 pm (1st & 3rd Friday of month); Sat. 12:00-6:00 pm (every other week).
