St. Thomas is an accepting, diverse and inviting congregation seeking to grow as disciples and followers of Jesus Christ. We mature as disciples by offering Bible-based education that is relevant to all generations and creates a thirst for God’s Word. Our programs are designed to engage adults, youth, children, and families not only in the classroom on Sunday mornings but in a variety of settings and times.
Opportunities for adult study and discipleship are offered through classes and in small groups. For more information, please contact the church office at (281) 497-4846.
During COVID-19, you may find our current adult activities on the Events tab and Calendar.
Adult Discipleship Class: Many Faces of Wisdom (Summer 2020)
Sundays 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. “Explore the many facets of wisdom as recorded in the book of Proverbs, in the Gospels, and in the letter written by James. As God is all-wise, we are called to live wisely and to avoid foolishness. The variety of biblical genres invites exploration of both practical wisdom and spiritual wisdom.” This study looks at wisdom in Proverbs and the Gospels as well personal perspectives, focusing on relationships between people in 1 Samuel, Ruth, and Ephesians. “Ultimately, those relationships pave the way for the Messiah. After Christ established the New Testament church, relationships between people have been based on the relationship with Christ Jesus. These relationships continue the work of Christ Jesus by spreading the gospel message.” Click here to join.

Biblical Equipping - members follow an 8-step cycle of hearing, discussing, reflecting upon, and living the Scriptures, not only when they are together as a group, but between group meetings.
Prayer and Worship - the group worships God and group members grow in their abiltiy to pray with and for one another.
Missional Service - the group reaches out with Christ's love to meet the needs of people outside the group. The groups are doing wonderful mission projects in December such as working with the Mission of Yahweh collecting jackets, coats, and sweaters for needy children and women.
