Outreach Committee Mission Statement of serving our neighbor is inspired from James 2:14 – 17 using the New Revised Standard Version bible translation: What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but do not have works? Can faith save you? If a brother or sister is naked and lacks daily food, and one of you says to them, "Go in peace; keep warm and eat your fill," and yet you do not supply their bodily needs, what is the good of that? So, faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead.

Presbyterian Ministries
Presbyterian Mo-Ranch Assembly: The mission of Presbyterian Mo‐Ranch Assembly (Mo-Ranch) is to foster growth in God through Jesus Christ by sharing its unique living, learning, Christian environment. The ethos of Mo‐Ranch is in their conference programs and camps. Mo-Ranch allows our campers and participants opportunities to disconnect from outside distractions and make new connections with themselves and new friends. Funding is requested for Mo-Ranch’s Upper Youth Plaza Campaign to support our Summer Camp expansion at Mo‐Ranch. This expansion will allow them to serve more children in the summer time at camp and provide needed space for churches and community groups to meet and stay during non‐summer months. Presbytery of the New Covenant: Presbytery of New Covenant (PONC) is made up of 88 churches and new church developments, spread across 39 counties in southeast Texas, including Houston. It is part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Member-churches connect with the work of the presbytery through their gifts of time, talent, and treasure. Presbyterians affirm that God comes to us with grace and love in the person of Jesus Christ, who lived, died, and rose for us so that we might belong to God and serve Christ in the world. God sends the Holy Spirit to dwell within us, giving us the energy, intelligence, imagination, and love to be Christ’s faithful disciples in the world. Presbyterian Children's Home & Services: PCHAS provides services to children and families within the Houston area including 1) Single Parent family Program; Child and Family Program; Voluntary Adoption Program; and Foster to Adopt Program. Their Mission Statement is to provide Christ-centered care and support to children and families in need. Special Offerings: Two of the special offerings we collect each year during worship are:

One Great Hour of Sharing: To assist those affected by natural disasters, provide food to the hungry, and assist in helping to empower the poor and oppressed); and

Christmas Joy Gift: To provide financial assistance to current and former church workers and their families and enable deserving students to attend Presbyterian-related racial ethnic colleges and schools.
